Toukley Neighbourhood Centre has been in existence as a Community Centre since 1978. Today, the Centre manages numerous community projects and programs and has approximately 40 volunteers involved in all aspects of the Centres projects. The Centre is a registered charity and depends on fundraising for many of its activities. The centre is open Monday to Friday.
The Centre's NILS Program assists those on low incomes who need to purchase items such as fridges, washing machines or other essential household items. By appointment only and conditions do apply.
The Community Visitor's Scheme is aimed at providing visitors to nursing home residents who may not have any family or friends living in the local area. New volunteers are welcome. |
